WHAT IS QUADVELO
Looking at the Quadvelo, it is more like a small car or microcar than a bicycle. But make no mistake: it is an electric bike. Actually, in mobility solutions, the Quadvelo sits somewhere between the bicycle and the car.
Weight Comparison
One of the main differences from a car is its weight, and that has major implications. A Quadvelo weighs 95 kg, while a microcar easily weighs 500 kg and a regular car more than 1,000 kg. Electric cars can even go towards or over 2 tonnes. This makes the Quadvelo’s components much lighter but also less robust. However, they are more than strong enough, as long as you handle them with care.
Comfort & Protection
A Quadvelo offers more comfort and protection than a regular sit-down or recumbent bike but less than a car. You are sheltered from rain, don’t suffer from headwinds, and sit stably on four wheels. The ergonomically shaped seat eliminates saddle pain, reduces strain on the wrists, and allows you to fully enjoy the surroundings. You hear the sounds around you and experience the world in a unique way.
